Short Details: Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) has extended the re-registration dates for the July 2022 session. As per the revised dates, the last date for students to complete the re-registration process for the July 2022 session is September 25, 2022. Candidates who wish to apply for the July session can visit the official website of the university to complete the registrations. Re-registration Portal for July 2022 Session. On this portal you can submit your re-registration form for the next year/semester and make online payment.This portal is open for both Indian and International students of the University
Students yet to complete the IGNOU July 2022 Re-registration process can complete the same through the link provided on the official website. Students applying need to have their User ID, Password, Registered Mobile Number, Registered email ID and bank details with them when filling the re-registration form for the July 2022 session. - Then register yourselves first and then apply for the course you wish to
- Then login with the details
- Fill in the application form carefully
- Pay the application fee and submit
- Download and take a printout for reference.
How to check IGNOU Re-Registration (RR) status or Re-registration history ?
To check re –registration status, student can visit official website of IGNOU. Also after login into your student account at Samarth portal, it can be seen. Once any student applies for RR online via IGNOU Samarth Portal, it may take some time to reflect the re-registration status in the Admission/ Re-registration Portal. If the payment for RR is success then you need not to worry about the delay in updation of your RR status on the website
Understand IGNOU Re-Registration
IGNOU uses the terminology “Re-Registration(RR)” for taking admission in the next year of study. “Re-registration (RR)” means registration in the next semester/year of a programme. RR is not applicable to Certificate, and year based PG Diploma and Diploma Programmes.
Eg: Student who took admission in Jan 2021 cycle in BA programme (Learner must be aware that for BA Maximum Duration to complete the programme is 6 Years) is eligible to take 2nd year registration from Jan 2022 session onwards. If candidate fails to take 2nd year Re-Registration (RR) in Jan 2022 session then he can do RR for July 2021 session and so on it can be calculated for subsequent Semester/ Year.
Since IGNOU allows RR for the next Semester / year without clearing/writing previous Semester/year papers hence Learner can do RR as per their convenience within the Max duration of programme.
But student is advised to do his/her RR for next year/Semester on time and pay the Fee on time.
IGNOU allows its learner to fill the RR form in ‘Online’ mode via portal (Click Here to go RR Portal) irrespective of the fact that whether the learners appeared in the examination or not or whether they are passed or not in the course(s) registered in the previous or current academic session. Since it is a flexi learning hence user can take its time to complete the program within the Maximum validity of registration.
International students are also advised to submit re- registrations form online via IGNOU Portal.
