Age Limit as on 1 January 2023
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Maximum Age: 25 Years.
- Maximum Age: 27 Years.
- CBN में एमटीएस और हवलदार के लिए 18-25 वर्ष होना चाहिए। (यानी उम्मीदवारों का जन्म 02.01.1998 से पहले और 01.01.2005 के बाद नहीं हुआ हो)
- CBIC में हवलदार और एमटीएस के कुछ पदों के लिए 18-27 वर्ष होना चाहिए। (यानी उम्मीदवारों का जन्म 02.01.1996 से पहले और 01.01.2005 के बाद नहीं हुआ हो)।

Education Qualification
- Candidates should have a 10th pass equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. to a matric/10th class pass for service under Central Government.

- Mode of selection
The recruitment process for the post of MTS will consist of Session-I and Session II in Computer-Based Examination (CBE).

Scheme of Examination:
- The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for
the post of Havaldar). - The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English, and in 13 regional languages viz.
- Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II and both Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted.
- Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN:
